Beyond Third is starting its third season. This season we will spend more time working on “simpler” dances to elaborate technique. Complex dances will continue to be part of each session.

High impact dances:

• The Robertson Rant (80 S)
• Errant Electron (8×32 R) – devised by Blair Gerrie, published in “A Delightful Diversion”
  • 1-8: All Circle eight hands round and back
  • 9-16: All dance Symmetrical Reels of Four*.
    • 1st couple cross down between 2nd couple, 2nd couple dance out
      & up, 3rd couple dance out & down, and 4th couple cross up
      between third couple to start. Women pass in front of their
      partners as each couple crosses at the top and bottom of the
      reels. The couple crossing up from bottom place have
      preference during the crossing at the sides.
      
  • 1st couple weave in and out to 4th place starting in and down. 2nd couple
    step up on bars 17-18, 3rd couple step up on bars 19-20, 4th couple step up
    on bars 21-22, on bars 23-24 1st couple turn left hands.
  • 2nd , 3rd and 4th couples dance Symmetrical Reels of Three*. Meanwhile, 1st
    couple turn right hand once and left hand once.
    • 2nd couple cross down between 3rd couple, 3rd couple dance out
      & up, 4th couple dance in & up to start. 2nd couple cross down
      between 3rd couple on bar 25, 4th couple cross up between 2nd
      couple on bar 26, and 3rd couple cross down between 4th
      couple on bar 27.

    Double dolphin pass and turn: 1M followed by 1L pass 3L left shoulders & change lead while corners dance in & turn left hands back to places.
  • 13-16: 1C dance left shoulders round each other 1¼ times in the centre to finish with 1M facing his 2nd corner with 1L behind him
